For the Noord Holland Biennale 2010 , The Netherlands, the town Zandvoort was allocated to us. For this specific project we founded Buro Boulevard, that would report all notible events on a weekly bases of the Middenboulevard (central boulevard) in Zandvoort. The Middenboulevard has been under discussion for decades but in the mean time it looks deserted. The mobile Buro Boulevard, a former icecream barrow, could be found on the boulevard every Friday and Saturday, collecting stories, ideas, gossip and more about tales about the boulevard. With these stories a weekly newsletter was created and spread througout town. Alongside these anecdotes of the daily life in Zandvoort, thorough research was done as to all the ideas people had to renew the boulevard through the years. For the opening of the Biennale we translated all these different ideas, stories and more into a large drawing on the Fenemaplein, Middenboulevard. Illustrating the absurdness of the situation and how nothing can come out of a discussion if people don't work together. As a final statement the drawing was removed from the square, keeping up with the place’s identity and apparent destiny that nothing happens on or with that square.
